Association Summary.
Bendera Development Agency is a Kenya association of private mechanized agricultural service providers. It is currently the largest service provider of its kind in West Pokot, Kenya, providing planting, spraying, harvesting, shelling, carting, storage and other mechanization services to small- and medium-scale farmers throughout the country. In Pokot County, we’ve launched a “Super Farmer” program to help some of our clients reach the next level and further increase their incomes. The majority of our clients still plant less than 1 acre of land, but some of our farmers have additional land available and the potential for greatly increasing their agriculture production. Super Farmers are eligible to take loans for 2-5 acres of farm inputs, and they receive additional training on how to manage their land.
